June’s Empties – And Favourites!

It was a grand total of 20 empties last month. I really thought it was going to be far fewer than that, but then in the last week of June quite a few of my jars and tubes were running dry, a bit like a fast sprint towards the finishing line - not a fantastic analogy, granted!

Face and body products came out even stevens this time, with nine products apiece (the last time that happened was in April - I usually empty more facial skincare than anything else).

Face

L’Occitane Crème Radieuse Hydration Cream. Very light in texture and yet still very hydrating. Love this. £32 for 50ml here.

Rodial Multi Intensive Anti-Ageing Balm. Contains 3D Hyaluronic Filling spheres to ‘instantly’ hydrate skin. This is so very thick (too thick even for my dehydrated skin) that I only really used it to relieve facial fatigue and tightness after a flight. £49 for 40ml here.

Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream.  A 15ml sample I got free with March’s Harper’s Bazaar - post. Rich and hydrating, this moisturiser has become a cult classic for good reason. £80 for 50ml here.

Espa Naturally Radiant Tinted Moisturiser SPF 15*. Combines matte mineral pigments with jojoba oil in a blendable and hydrating formula. Just wish it had a higher SPF. Reviewed here.

Bio Effect EFG Serum. There’s a lot of love for this serum but I dislike its gel-like texture – I find it leaves a film on my skin. £65 for 6ml (hellishly pricey!) here.

Sqoom XcentialSkinCare One*. Blimey, such a mouthful of a name.  A  post-treatment smoothing cream for use with the Sqoom home beauty device (reviewed), containing rose and grapeseed oils. I think there are better moisturisers for the money. £59 for 50ml here.

SkinPep Wrinkle Clear* - £14.99 (7ml). A retinol-based serum for the whole face. This brand packs a lot of ingredients into their formulas for the price, but I’ve never been that fond of the way they smell – a little synthetic. More here.

SkinPep Eye Lift* - £14.99 (7ml). Anti-ageing eye serum containing collagen and elastin, as well as retinol like the above. Being a serum you can apply it all over the eye area. Competitively priced too.  But again (see above) the smell. More here.

SkinPep C-Face Bright Booster*. A pure stabilised vitamin C powder which you can mix with your favourite serums. Designed to brighten and boost collagen. I like it! £4.99 for a 1g refill packet here.

Body

Beautannia Brighton Body Lotion. Picked this up in a Space NK sale for a ridiculously cheap £8.50 – and you can still do so here! Contains argan to moisturise, sweet almond oil to soften, and vitamins B, C and E to help protect. A bargain find!

Burt’s Bees Almond & Milk Hand Cream. Super rich, all-natural and beautifully sweet smelling. It’s made with sweet almond oil and vitamin E to moisturise and beeswax to help seal and shield hands from the elements. £9.99 for 55g here.

Champney’s Spa Indulgence Mediterranean Bliss Shimmering Body Oil. Yep, I have indeed got through yet another bottle of this – a firm favourite that has featured in my last three empties posts! Full review here.

L’Occitane Frisson de Verveine Shower Gel. One of the few L’Occitane products to disappoint me - I’m not keen on the aqueous citrus scent. I can only see the body lotion of this available on the L’Occitane UK site (and it’s down from £20 to £12 currently) here.

Aromatherapy Associates Support Equilibrium and Revive Evening Bath & Shower Oils. Love , love, love – both equally! Check out my full review of these delightful miniature oils here.

Vita Liberata 2-3 Week pHenomenal Tan Lotion (medium). Easy to apply with a mitt, non-streaky and gives a good colour. £37.50 for 150ml here.

Balance Me Rose Otto Body Cream. Of 99% natural origin, this gorgeously rich body cream smells utterly heavenly too. A firm favourite. £18 for 200ml here.

ILA Beyond Organic Bath Soak for Pure Relaxation. Blended with purest vetiver, petitgrain and apricot oils. Add this to a warm running bath and the aromas are guaranteed to de-stress every muscle you possess, believe me!  £9.60 for 150ml here.

Makeup

Benefit The POREfessional. One of my favourite face primers. Glides on like a dream and provides the perfect base for make-up. £24.50 for 22ml here.

NARS New Lover Velvet Gloss Lip Pencil. Feels lightweight on and gives lips super sheen. Plus the colour is awesome – a sexy, cheeky and playful pink! £19 here.
