March represents my tallest empties post to date. I mean that in the literal sense – I have two very lofty empty cans in my latest stash of used-ups.
Skincare
Four of my 13 empties are skincare products, the same number as bodycare (here we go again with those two representing the bulk of my throw outs).
Avene Thermal Spring Water. I have cans of this stuff dotted around the house. I use loads of it, hence why this is such a big tin. I have dry skin and a quick squirt of this sorts it out in next to no time. £9 (currently £1 off at Boots) for 300ml here.
Nude Perfect Cleansing Oil Face & Eyes. I got this as a Space NK gift with purchase. It’s gentle and does the job of removing make-up. I wouldn’t necessarily buy it myself though, simply because there are so many fantastic cleansers out there. £28 for 100ml here.
Biologique Recherché Amniotique E. Serum. I took this bottle home with me following my facial at the world renowned Biologique Recherché. Oh my goodness! It was easily one of the best facials I have ever had – reviewed here. This serum is bespoke, so not available to buy. It’s brilliant, though a little pongy!
Balance Me Radiance Face Oil. I’m such a fan of this brand and this oil is one of my favourites from their skincare range. This little travel bottle has a handy rollerball inside, so you can massage your face whilst applying! £30 for a 30ml here.
Bodycare
So four items feature here too…
Mio Liquid Yoga Restorative Bath Soak. This came in a beauty advent calendar (the You Beauty one I think?). It’s got a very strong whiff of menthol which I found overwhelming. £26 for 200ml here.
Cowshed Grumpy Cow Uplifting Body Lotion. Another advent calendar find, from the M&S one this time. With essential oils of red mandarin, bitter orange and grapefruit, this has a zesty, wake-me-up fragrance that goes well with my vibrant mood after a heavy gym session. £20 for 300ml here.
Jo Malone, Lime Basil & Mandarin. I first got given a bottle of this as a birthday present by a PR at EMI Records when I was a music journalist (some, ahem, years ago now). I was floored by its beauty – and I’m still in love with this fragrance as much today as I was then. £42 for 30ml here.
iLa Beyond Organic Bath Salts for Cleansing. I rarely use bath salts but I have to say these were lovely. They dissolved quickly and filled my bathroom with that super relaxing aroma you associate with luxurious spa resorts. £49 for 500g here.
Haircare
Batiste Dry Shampoo, Floral & Flirty Blush. My favourite fragrance from my favourite budget dry shampoo brand (hence the large can!). £2.99 for 200ml here.
Batiste Dry Shampoo, Original. Not my favourite scent, hence the small can (I’m guessing I couldn’t get Blush so bought this in travel size). £4.99 for 400ml here.
Tabitha James Kraan Organic Hair Cleanser, Golden Citrus. This just doesn't seem to clean my hair thoroughly – I have long locks and use 15 pumps of this each time! At £22.50 for 150ml, it’s also pricey, though I know many people love it. Buy here.
Makeup
Clarins Double Fix’ Mascara. No mascara will budge when you use this to seal it. One of my all-time favourite makeup finds. Reviewed here.
Clinique High Impact Mascara, 01 Black. I’m so particular about mascara. It must thicken and lengthen my lashes superbly, else I’m slinging it. This one got the latter treatment I’m afraid! £17.50 for 10g here.
