NEW: Elemental Herbology Hyaluronic Plus+ - A Quick Moisture Fix

My skin has been looking a little sallow lately. The inevitable effects of illness, unfortunately. Goodness knows what bug I picked up a few weeks ago but it’s been a devil to shake off, and my skin has not been happy.

Partly my complexion has suffered because I have not felt well enough to keep going with my regular skincare regime. A quick perk-up in the moisture department is something my skin craves at the best of times, but it’s in pretty desperate need of it right now! So, if there was ever a perfect guinea pig for Elemental Herbology’s newly launched Hyaluronic Plus+, it's me!

Hyaluronic Booster Plus+ is a rich semi-opaque white serum, described as an instant antidote to dry, dull complexions. In a nutshell it’s designed to protect against moisture loss and plump-up fine lines.  To use squeeze the pipette a few times to load into the dropper. Apply 4 drops morning and night to cleansed skin, before day moisturiser or night cream.

This feels instantly hydrating. It sinks into my skin very quickly, it has a super silky texture and gives my complexion a healthy sheen – immediately making me look more awake! It does absorb quite quickly  though because of my very thirsty skin, but it still looks (and feels) more hydrated.

The serum also has a lovely fresh fragrance – Elemental Herbology formulates with lots of plant extracts and botanical oils.

Key ingredients

Sodium hyaluronate.
This is an interesting one. Hyaluronic acid doesn’t easily penetrate the skin. Sodium hyaluronate has a smaller molecular structure, so is able to penetrate more deeply.

Olive Squalene. Often referred to as a ‘wonder ingredient’, it helps to accelerate new cell growth and maintain moisture levels. It protects against UV damage and the formation of age spots, and heals chapped skin. It also has antibacterial properties.

My skin is lapping up its daily dose of Hyaluronic Plus+ and is certainly looking more like its old self. But I am getting through the bottle quite quickly - another downside to having thirsty skin!

Elemental Herbology Hyaluronic Plus+ costs £85 for 30ml and can be bought here.
