Nu Skin Moisture Mist – A Product I Couldn’t Live Without Right Now!

We all have types of products that we couldn’t live without. One for me is a spritzer, something I can spray onto my face throughout the day to keep my skin hydrated.

Such is my need that I am constantly on the lookout for a product that’s better than the one I am currently using. Of course, this means that I am never totally satisfied, but then it has allowed me to assemble quite a collection of pretty good facial mists along the way.

My latest find (and the one I’m currently obsessing over) is this NaPCA Moisture Mist from Nu Skin. Aside from the name (the NaPCA bit makes it sound like some chemistry lab chemical), this hits the spot on so many levels that I think it’ll take something pretty special to topple it.

What is it?

It’s a mist containing natural moisture-binding ingredients like hyaluronic acid (often to be found in mists), urea, plus NaPCA (ah, so that’s what it is, a humectant). It’s oil free (so doesn’t have the waxy feel of some mists), and fragrance free.

Another thing it doesn’t contain is alcohol. It seems there’s some confusion over whether alcohol in skincare is a good thing or not - some experts say it is drying and so not, others disagree. I’ve also read that it depends on the type of alcohol used. While that debate rages I’ll err towards products that don’t contain it.

So, Nu Skin NaPCA Moisture Mist. As well as the face, it can be used on the body and on hair to soften it, making it a great choice for taking on Summer holidays to warm and sunny climes.

I spray this generously on to my face whenever it’s feeling a little tight. The spray delivers just the right amount of mist, enough to cool me down and hydrate my skin but not such an explosion that I end up with liquid dripping down my cheeks (as much as I love my Avene thermal spring water I do find the spray too strong).

Oher ingredients that I’m happy to see here include aloe vera (soothes and softens), and Niacinamide, a potent cell-communicator that is clinically proven to improve skin elasticity and tone, among many other things.

My one slight gripe is that it only comes in a large 250ml bottle, which is a little unwieldy for travel.  However, it’s easy to decant some into a travel bottle with a spray nozzle – it’s worth mentioning that some other spritzers only come in sealed cans.

The Nu Skin NaPCA Moisture Mist costs £13.07 (good price too) and is available here.
