NEW: Liz Earle Superskin Dry Oil for Body – Ooh That Scent!

I’ve been captivated by the scent of Liz Earle’s Superskin ever since I first tried the face oil many moons ago. For Autumn, the brand has launched two body oils formulated with the same blend, and I’m entranced all over again!

The Superskin Dry Oil and Superskin Treatment Oil are part of this season's releases from Liz Earle which also include a new fragrance (Botanical Essence No.9 – warm and fruity) and an overnight mask (another Superskin addition).

I have the dry oil and it’s been just the tonic for replenishing my post-Summer dry skin. Made with cranberry, borage, and rosehip seed, it’s richly hydrating and nourishing. But it’s the Superskin aroma that’s always been the big hit with me – it relaxes, pampers and calms, yet at the same time revitalises.

This new body formula is a dry oil, meaning that it nourishes but is also fast-absorbing so you don’t have to hang around for half an hour waiting for it to sink in before stepping in to your skinny jeans. It’s meant to absorb so you can dress immediately. It’s not quite that fast-absorbing – you need to wait a few minutes.

Key ingredients:

Cranberry seed oil – with nourishing omegas 3,6 and 9
Borage oil – a rich source of gamma linolenic acid to help lock in moisture
Rosehip oil – essential fatty acids to aid moisture retention
Alaria esculenta extract – helps firm and revitalise

The oil comes in a tall, elegant glass bottle with a spray nozzle. I always spray directly into my hand before applying to stop product squirting where I don’t want it to, ie on the floor which not only makes a mess but also means you lose product!

I then massage into my skin, using circular movements (when I remember) to help product absorption and aid circulation. I’m using it morning and night.

This dry oil leaves my skin feeling soft, nourished and fabulously scented. It’s a pampering treat I can give myself at home, with the emphasis on "at home" as the glass bottle does make it a tad impractical for travel.

The Liz Earle Superskin Dry Oil for Body costs £35 for 100ml and should be available shortly, here
