Balance Me Launches Most Potent Skincare Range Yet – Previews Other 2015 Products

Balance Me, which this year celebrates its tenth anniversary, has been one of my most treasured discoveries since launching the blog (most recent review Rose Otto Body Oil here).

It wasn’t a brand familiar to me previously, not having a High Street stockist close by (products are available at John Lewis, Beales and selected Waitrose and Debenhams, as well as online).  I also rarely internet shopped for my beauty – something I do with alarming regularity these days!

The blog has also opened my eyes to the joys of organic and natural skincare, something Balance Me excel at. I defy anyone to sniff one of their formulations and not drift off (mentally speaking) to somewhere beautifully exotic and zen-like.

Monday this week saw Balance Me unveil its new launches for 2015 at a special bloggers event in London (main pic and above, me with co-founder Rebecca Hopkins). They include their most potent skincare range to date!

I first heard that Balance Me was developing a peptide-packed advanced skincare range about a year ago, so it’s been fab to finally get a proper look. As I’ve only just got my hands on the new products, I’m going to run through just the basics today, and will follow with in-depth reviews later.

Balance Me Collagen Boost Collection will launch on counter next month with two products – Restore and Replenish Cream Cleanser (above, boxed and swatched), and Restore and Replenish Face Cream. A micellar cleansing water will follow in September.

Key Ingredients

At the heart of the range is a supercharged and naturally derived peptide complex containing:
Tri-Peptide - to support and stabilise the collagen helix to keep skin plump
Pea Peptide – containing 22 nutrient-rich amino acids
Hyaluronic Acid – as we all know, it’s just super at plumping skin
Blackberry leaf extract – a powerful anti-oxidant to help limit the impact of things like sun damage

Together these four are said to include a complete source of essential amino acids (the building blocks of protein and so critical to our bodies), and one of the most effective tri-peptide bonds (called G-P-Hy) to boost collagen, as well as strengthen and protect the skin.

A key pull of this new anti-ageing line-up is certainly the botanical element. Balance Me says it pushes natural beauty to a new level.

The cleanser costs £18 for 125ml, and the face cream £40 for 50ml - reflecting Balance Me’s commitment to affordable premium products.

Elsewhere, Balance Me has announced its first shampoo and conditioner (above). The silicone/sulphate-free duo feature zesty essential oils like grapefruit and mandarin. The conditioner additionally contains argan oil (protecting and repairing), sweet almond oil (essential fatty acids), and natural wheat proteins (fortifies hair).

Launching July, the shampoo and conditioner will be available separately in two sizes - 200ml (£10), and 300ml (£15).

Also at Monday’s event we got a sneak peak of upcoming limited editions of Balance Me’s hero Radiance Face Oil and Super Moisturising Hand Cream, featuring a gold foil firework design in celebration of the 10 year anniversary.

Finally (almost done!), don’t forget Balance Me is still running its #TouchALife Twitter campaign. Nominate someone who has touched your life and they could win a hand cream (it’s rich and totally gorgeous) as a thank you. Visit @balancemebeauty for more detail. More on Balance Me here.
