Fushi Organic Hydrating Lip Balm – a Tasty Taster of What’s New at Naturisimo

A clutch of new brands has arrived at natural and organic beauty online retailer, Naturisimo. One of them is the wellbeing, beauty and fitness range Fushi.

Fushi is perhaps best known for its organic, cold pressed and unrefined oils (cold pressing is an ethical way of extracting oil from nuts). But if this lip balm is anything to go by, it also does a fine line in skincare too.

Balance Me Rose Otto Body Oil – An Affordable Luxury

Like many, one of my all-time favourite skincare ingredients is rose. Rarely do I feel more pampered than when I’m slathering oil infused with extracts of this exquisite flower all over my body.

Rose can benefit our skin in so many ways. Here are just a few examples:

NEW LAUNCH: Espa's Naturally Radiant Tinted Moisturiser – Review + Swatches

Having a handful of different tinted moisturisers, alphabet creams and foundations at your disposal is useful, as it means you can switch up or down the type of coverage according to needs and preferences.

On days when I work from home I barely step foot outside the front door, usually leaving the house only to drop off and collect the kids from school. Then I want a base that’s light, something that feels feather-weight on my skin and gives a barely there wash of colour.

The Anti-Ageing LightStim – Giving LED Light Therapy a Second Chance

Of all my premium home beauty devices the one that has convinced me the least is the anti-ageing LightStim.

I have nothing against the LightStim itself. In fact, I think it still one of the best devices in its class. It’s the technology behind it that I’m not sure suits me – LED light therapy.

Is This Really the First Thing Women Do After a Divorce?

According to a study published this week, a hair makeover is the most common thing women do after a marriage break-up. Before calling our mum, meeting a friend, or going for a drink, top of our priority list is to get a haircut.

Grooming Brows on a Budget – High Street Top Picks

The choice of brow products available to buy is eye popping. It’s a reflection, of course, of the enduring appeal of the full brow. As I’ve said numerous times on the blog, I’m all for it – it’s a very youthful look!

You don’t have to walk far into a branch of Boots, Superdrug or elsewhere to spot waxes, powders, gels, pencils, brow mascaras (with or without thickening fibres), growth serums and let’s not forget bling – sparkly crystals which can be stuck on to brows for the ultimate party look (or not, depending on your view).

Rio Beauty Deep Pore Cleanser – Does More Than You Might Think!

Rio Beauty. There’s a name that takes me back. Rio Beauty was the first brand of home beauty device I ever bought, in the days when the blog was a mere twinkle in my eye!

The product, the 60 Second Face Lift, was the one that sparked my passion for professional beauty treatments adapted for home use.

The 60 Second Face Lift is still around today, and has since been joined by a number of other Rio Beauty products, one of which I’m reviewing today, the new Deep Pore Cleanser. I was recently sent one to try and I have been using it daily for the past few weeks.

NEW LAUNCH: Green People Age Defy+ Tinted Moisturiser SPF15 DD Cream

As Spring unfurls and the sun starts to make its presence more felt, many of us are turning our minds to skincare and makeup that protects our skin as well as enhances its appearance.

So with impeccable timing, comes this new DD (Daily Defense) product from Green People. And while I’m on the subject of timing, it’s worth noting that this is the UK’s first certified organic DD cream too!

March’s Fave Freebie – Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream

Ce est la vie, je suppose! I am more than a little late with my favourite magazine freebie this month. Thank you tonsillitis – you rendered me incapable of moving beyond the confines of my bedroom, let alone my house, last week!

Consequently, the first opportunity I had to get to Smiths to check out the new magazine editions was last Monday. I was thinking of skipping this month’s post altogether but the Elemis freebie that comes with the latest Harper’s Bazaar is just too good not to mention.

REVIEW: Stratum C Complete 4 Total Hand Care Cream – All You Need in the One Tube!

I feel sorry for hands. They work hard on our behalf, performing one physical task after another. For what reward? The occasional slick of hand cream?

I think many of us would admit to neglecting our hands when it comes to skincare. They’re the appendages at the end of our arms. We don’t study them much, except for when painting our nails. Perhaps then we might think to squirt a bit of nourishing cream into our palms.

We do so much to protect our faces, perhaps not thinking that our hands face the same sort of challenges. Let’s look at sun exposure, the biggest cause of premature ageing.

Little Ondine, A Fresh Look at Nail Polish - No Remover Required + Reader Offer

It’s not often that true innovation genuinely comes along. So when it does, it’s natural to sit up and take note. Step forward new nail brand Little Ondine.

I have a love-hate relationship with polish. I enjoy adding a seasonal colour to my nails, and sometimes a lick of glitter on top to glam it up. But I hate the way it smells (the acetate in varnish has a repugnant odour), it nearly always chips (even with a bottom and top coat, I find), and it’s fiddly to remove (especially glitter).

Well, this month sees the launch of Little Ondine with a line of polishes that kick those three pet hates squarely into touch.

February’s Empties – And Favourites

I’m writing this from my sick bed. I’ve been knocked back with a nasty bout of tonsillitis. Looking after my skin is the last thing on my mind right now. I’ve hardly used any skincare in the past 5 days. I have little enthusiasm for it. All I want to do is pop pills and sleep! Next month’s empties post is likely to reflect this, I feel.

By way of stark contrast, I’ve got a bumper crop of February empties. I used up 24 products last month, double that in January! So warning (and massive apologies) ahead – this is a long post!

REVIEW: A Celebrity ‘Red Carpet’ Facial with Revere Clinics

Cinderella may be a fictional character belonging to fairytale lore, but she's not the only one with easy access to an instant 'red carpet' beauty fix.

Celebrity red carpet facials are becoming increasingly popular amongst those who want to look their best for a special event. One such treatment is available from Revere Clinics, a leading cosmetic dermatology clinic located in London’s Harley Street and Northwood in Middlesex.

If you read my special preview of the upcoming Anti-Ageing Health & Beauty Show 2015, here, you may know that I had the privilege of experiencing one of these treatments at first hand.

Rather than wrap the whole experience up in the show preview, I thought it warranted its own separate post. So here goes…
