Fushi Organic Hydrating Lip Balm – a Tasty Taster of What’s New at Naturisimo

A clutch of new brands has arrived at natural and organic beauty online retailer, Naturisimo. One of them is the wellbeing, beauty and fitness range Fushi.

Fushi is perhaps best known for its organic, cold pressed and unrefined oils (cold pressing is an ethical way of extracting oil from nuts). But if this lip balm is anything to go by, it also does a fine line in skincare too.

This 100% Organic Hydrating Lip Balm is one of two Fushi lip balms available and is described as a cooling, refreshing and Ayurvedic formula packed with oils to protect, hydrate and nourish the lips.

Ayurveda is a type of traditional medicine native to the Indian subcontinent which has been practiced there for 5,000 years, making it one of the oldest holistic healing systems.

It is based on the belief that health and wellness depend on a delicate balance between the mind, body, and spirit. The primary focus of Ayurvedic medicine is to promote good health, rather than fight disease.

Well, I’m certainly getting some ‘good karma’ right now, as I take in the scent of this lip balm. It smells gorgeous, a subtle peppermint with a light floral touch of geranium. It’s uplifting and calming in equal measure.

The texture of this balm is soft, light and non-sticky. It’s instantly nourishing, and what I particularly like about it is the tingling sensation you get the moment you smear it on. That’s down to the peppermint and it feels very cooling and refreshing.  I can see this balm being a total godsend in Summer, when it’s really hot and dry.
