NEW: Charles Worthington, Jo Loves, Jane Iredale, Bourjois
I’ve just spent £160 on Fitbit’s brand new all-singing, all-dancing Blaze fitness tracker (or is it smart watch? There’s much debate on that one). So, I could really do with saving some money. Then again…
My pick of the week’s new beauty launches:
Charles Worthington Instant Root Concealer – On Sale Now
I’ve been using the Color Wow root touch-up powder for years, and remain happy with it (reviewed here). It’ll be interesting to see how this Charles Worthington one compares, especially as it costs considerably less!
Charles Worthington Instant Root Concealer Powders are made from triple milled iron oxides to aid spreading and give an even colour. There’s corn starch to help protect the scalp and absorb moisture, and dimenthicone to help condition the hair.
Available now in Light Blonde, Blonde, Brown and Dark Brown for £14.99, or £9.99 if you buy at Boots where they’re currently on offer, here.
Jo Loves Mandrine – Out June
This upcoming Summer fragrance from Jo Loves sounds right up my street – citrus fresh with musky deep notes. Mandrine opens with bergamot, bitter orange, lemon tree leaf and petitgrain. The heart notes are parsley seeds, thyme and star anise, with ambroxan and benzoin at the base. It’ll be available exclusively at the Jo Loves London store from 1 June, priced at £65 (50ml) and £110 (100ml). More on Jo Loves here.
Jane Iredale GreatShape Eyebrow Kit – Out April
Brow kits have become a bit ubiquitous but I’m flagging this one up as it’s from Jane Iredale – I know a lot of people swear by her skin-friendly mineral make-up. The kit comes with a dual-ended applicator, transparent botanical brow wax and a brow powder. Priced at £26. More on Jane Iredale here.
Bourjois Round Pot Blush – out next week
I’m not a massive fan of budget make-up but Bourjois is one that I do often turn to. I can always find a good choice of shades that flatter my skin tone and the formulas are easy to apply and blend. Next week the brand will add two new shades to its Round Pot Blush line.
Priced at £6.99, the new powder blushers are 42 FraĆ®cheur De Rose, a fresh pink with subtle shimmers, and 43 Corail Tentation, a matte coral pink. More on Bourjois here.
