As unsold Easter eggs get heavily discounted this week, the temptation to eat yet more chocolate is going to be overwhelming. So how about feasting your eyes on these new beauty products instead – a much healthier way to spend your money.
Color Wow Cocktails – 1 April
Jumping on some buzzwords here, Color Wow has announced a collection of products for colour-treated hair. The Kale, Coconut and Carb Cocktails are leave-in products designed to counteract the damage caused by colour-treating hair. Kale Cocktail is for strengthening hair, Coconut Cocktail for making it glossy and manageable, and Carb Cocktail for giving trusses a bit of ‘starch’, ie volume. Available from 1 April at Selfridges, they’re priced at £22 each. More here.
SachaJuan Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner – Out Now
SachaJuan was a brand I discovered via a SpaceNK goodie bag some years back. It came with a decent sample of the brand’s Hair Repair and I was (and remain) bowled over by it. So this new thickening shampoo and conditioner duo looks promising – it contains natural algae for improved shine and surface feel. Priced at £22 each, the products are available at John Lewis.
Dermalogica Charcoal Rescue Masque – nationwide from April
Skin in need of a quick fix? This new mask from Dermalogica is formulated with ingredients to do just that. It refines pores, calms redness and improves texture, as well tackling dullness and sensitivity. Ingredients include charcoal (obviously), volcanic ash, sea silt, bamboo and sulphur to draw out excess oil and impurities. It’s priced at £38. More on Dermalogica here.
Clarins Boosters – Out April
Continuing a thing for mixing up your own formulas (it’s happening everywhere, right?), Clarins has announced a new line-up called Boosters. There are three products in the range, all designed to be added and mixed into your favourite face cream, mask, foundation or whatever. There is Booster Energy containing ginseng to re-energise your skin, Booster Repair with mimoatenuiflora extract to reduce redness and tightness; and Booster Detox with green coffee for (you’ve guessed it) purifying the skin. Available from April and priced at £30/15ml. More here.
Miller Harris Vetiver Insolent - Out April
If you made it to the last 30 Plus Blogs Collective meet-up (sadly I was unable to), you’d have gone home armed with a bottle of this as the event was hosted by Miller Harris in celebration of its new fragrance, Vetiver Insolent. A spicy scent, it has top notes of bergamot Italy, black pepper, elemi and cardamom India. At the heart is iris, lavandin abs and crisp amber, and at the base vetiver Haiti, tonka bean abs and moss. Available from 7 April, it’ll be priced at £95 for 100ml, and £65 for 50ml. More on Miller Harris here.
