My Top Rated Foaming Cleansers - L'Occitane, Jurlique - Reviewed

We really are spoilt for choice when it comes to cleansers. There is such a range of types to choose from – creams, lotions, hot cloth, balms, waters, oils and foaming (have I missed any?). If you love foaming, or you fancy trying one out for the first time, I really can’t recommend these two below highly enough.

L’Occitane Immortelle Precious Cleansing Foam

L’Occitane is one of my favourite beauty brands. It’s not simply the company’s ethos and values I like, its use of natural ingredients and traditional techniques (let’s face it so many beauty brands have similar these days) it’s also that L’Occitane creates some of the most aromatic skincare around.

I use this foaming cleanser every morning. It’s a perfect pick-me up, with its tangy and sharp citrus fragrance. It comes in a handy pump and transforms into a rich yet incredibly light foam. I apply it after splashing warm water on my face - the gentle heat of the water helps to open the pores.
Satsuma mandarin and grapefruit fruit extracts not only give this cleanser a gorgeous fragrance but also help to brighten and nourish the skin. It is further enriched with the floral water of immortelle – the flower that never fades, even when picked.

This cleanser leaves my skin feeling clean, fresh and awake, without feeling tight or stripped. All round this is a great anti-ageing cleansing choice.

The Immortelle Precious Cleansing Foam costs £18.50 for 150ml and can be purchased from L’Occitane here

Jurlique Rose Moisture Plus With Antioxidant Complex Moisturising Cleanser
Here is another company which prides itself on using naturally derived and organic herbs and flowers in its ingredients lists. I totally adore Jurlique’s line of rose products, of which this Rose Moisture Plus cleanser is one.

The cleanser teams great with the Clarisonic - the classic cleansing brush loved by so many, myself included. Dollop some on this on your hand, wet with a little water, and you get a lovely rich whipped creamy foam to use with your device, which I do in the evenings as it is so efficient at removing every last trace of makeup.
Rose hip oil gives this cleanser a wonderful rich aroma and its essential fatty acids leave skin beautifully hydrated. There is also pumice to polish and remove grime, and willow bark extract, a natural form of salicylic acid (so non irritating), to aid cell turnover via exfoliation.

This formula is so beautifully creamy and rich that I get quite annoyed when my Clarisonic switches off after its 60 second clean. Mind you if it didn’t I’d probably be spending far too long in the bathroom – and I spend long enough in there already!

The Rose Moisture Plus With Antioxidant Complex Moisturising Cleanser costs £18 for 100ml and can be purchased from Jurlique here
