One way we can do that is via single brand beauty boxes. The one I have here is Nourish, the Discovery Collection, which was kindly sent to me by Naturisimo, the natural and organic online beauty retailer.
Naturisimo offers a range of different single brand discovery and mini gift sets. You can check out their latest stock here. They start at under a tenner too, making them an affordable way to do that extra digging into a brand you think you might grow to like (quite a lot, as in my case with Nourish). These boxes also make super gifts for friends and family.
Nourish has been a blog discovery for me, and one that I am delighted to have made. You can check out my reviews of their Radiance Rejuvenating Peptide Serum here, Argan Skin Renew here, and Golden Glow Illuminating Face Shimmer here. The latter two are featured in this Naturisimo set.
Nourish is formulated with organic plant extracts, all sourced ethically. It offers four product ranges based on skin type – Protect (dry), Radiance (normal), Balance (combination) and Relax (sensitive). Pricing is keen - the Kale Biomimetic eye cream is their most expensive product at £30 (10ml), but most full-sizes cost under £20.
Back to the Naturisimo box. Inside are samples of six Nourish products: Kale Enzymatic Exfoliating Cleanser, Kale Biomimetic Anti-Ageing Eye Cream, Argan Skin Rescue, Argan Skin Renew, Golden Glow Illuminating Face Shimmer, and Protect Hydrating Moisturiser. There is also a useful booklet, containing full-size pricing and brief descriptions of all six products.
The Argan Skin Renew is a 5ml sample. The pots don’t have ml sizes on them, but I’ve been using this box daily for the past few weeks and I’ve got about half of all the formulas left (of course, how long these last will depend on how liberally you apply product – I tend to veer towards the light side).
Golden Glow Illuminating Face Shimmer (£16, 30ml) & Argan Skin Renew (£25, 50ml)
If you’ve already read my reviews of these two, you’ll know that I love them both enormously. The Golden Glow Illuminating Face Shimmer is a lightly textured golden white cream that gives skin an instant healthy glow. Argan Skin Renew, meanwhile, is a rich and nourishing moisturiser that doubles up brilliantly as a night cream.
Argan Skin Rescue (£21, 15ml)
A sample of the Argan Skin Rescue recently made its way to me via my blogger pal Sandra at Beauty Balm (check out the gorgeous natural beauty box she gifted here). This treatment oil is thick and rich. You need only use the tiniest amount to give dull and dehydrated skin the ‘kiss of life’.
Kale Enzymatic Exfoliating Cleanser (£16.50, 50ml)
This was new to me. It’s a two-in-one cleanser and exfoliator. It’s gentle. You can almost feel the dullness of your skin lifting away as you massage it in. I’ve become a big fan of this.
Kale Biomimetic Anti-Ageing Eye Cream (£30, 10ml)
Containing peptides, amino acids, B vitamins and antioxidants to boost skin’s resilience, this eye cream is said to counter puffiness and dark circles. I suffer from neither to any extent, so I couldn’t test the claim. I found the cream light and hydrating, but for me I prefer a richer textured eye formula.
Protect Hydrating Moisturiser (£19, 50ml)
Contains soya and rosehip seed oils, rich in essential fatty acids, plus skin brightening and protecting vitamin C via Sicilian lemons (no less!). This has got a gorgeous fragrance, and is lighter in texture than Argan Skin Renew, making it ideal for daytime use.
Nourish, The Discovery Collection, is no longer available but you can find all the full-sizes featured in it on the Naturisimo website here.
